General In accordance with references A and B, the time has now come for the present incumbents holding the executive posts are to step down after having successfully completed their full term of 2 years at the posts. The present incumbents will step down on Sat, 28 April 2018. 
Aim 
The aim is to invite the prospective candidates for the forthcoming election in order to conduct the election as swiftly as possible and to form the new executive committee. Election Commissions The following are selected as an election committee:

The Election Committee has been tasked to conduct an election under the rules of the constitution to form a new Executive Committee. The Election Committee will be responsible for electing/selecting the positions of the following: 
a. 1 X Chair person 
b. 3 x Vice Chair persons ( including 1 x Lady Vice) 
c. 1 x General secretary 
d. 1 x Treasurer 
e. 1 x Youth Chair Person 
f. All other post will be decided by the elected EC. Eligibility for prospective candidates: 
a. Post of Chairperson: He/she must have served at least one term in the EC
b. All other posts: They must hold valid memberships for at least 2 years. 
c. Aged 21 or over. 
d. Those who wish to forward their nominations for the above posts are to do so by providing their full name and contact address to the election committee by no later than COP Friday, 22th April 2018. No nomination is accepted after this date. 
e. The candidates’ nomination should be sent by Email to: Election Committee. & Maintain your Position: Withdrawal of Nominations: Due to unforeseen circumstances, should any of the candidates need to withdraw their nominations, then it must be done by COP Monday, 23th of April 2018.

Eligibility for Voters and voting rules:
a. Aged 21 or over.
b. Only one vote is allowed per member. 
c. No postal/proxy vote is accepted. 
d. All voters must have a valid photo ID in in order to cast their vote.
 e. Those members who do not hold valid membership they will not be eligible to vote. 
f. The members who obtained memberships by 19th April 2018 shall be allowed to vote. 
g. Membership fee can be deposited in our account by individually or house hold family only. 
h. No bulk payment is accepted. 
i. Voting queue will close at 1900 hrs.

c. 21st April 2018 - All candidates to send their nomination to EC d. 22nd April 2018 - Vetting and verification voter. 
e. 23rd April 2018 - Candidates to withdrawal their names if any.
f. 24th April 2018 – Candidates final vetting, verification and final lists 
g. 25th – 27th April 2018 – Election team to prepare for voting
h. 28th April 2018 – Election Day and result announced. 

Notes: 
The current EC of GoSUK, should ceased any major financial transaction or decision from the day this instruction is published. Conclusion We would like to urge all members to participate on the day and be a proud member of GoSUK. The members’ participations on the election are uttermost important. It will play a vital role to encourage the Samaj for the future operation. Please disseminate the information as widely as possible.
